I am a DONA certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and have completed my training through Mount Royal University in Calgary. My experiences include a range of settings and circumstances from natural childbirth, inductions, epidurals, home births, birth centre births, and hospital births as well as breastfeeding support, and working with multiples (twins and triplets).

As a doula who has supported women in all four hospitals in Calgary, I can help navigate the medical environment and jargon so that you can stay calm and focused. I have worked with numerous Midwives, Doctors and Nurses in Calgary and find it easy to work alongside these professionals to round out your birthing team.

In addition to my doula training, I hold a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Alberta and was a consultant for young children and their families for over 15 years.

During my free time I love to spend time with my 3 grown children and their partners. I have had the privilege of being a part of all four of my grandchildren's births.

It has been a great joy watching them grow over the years!

What draws it all together? My passion for assisting and encouraging women and their partners through all levels of parenthood.

what is a doula?

Calgary Doula

Women supporting women is an ancient but forgotten practice. We have been doing it ‘since forever’ yet our North American culture has caused us to forget. Feeling cared for and wholly supported invokes a sense of security, a sense of home, a sense of grandma’s kitchen, a sense of a simpler time.

Since Forever Doula Services connects at this deep feminine level.

Regardless of where you choose to birth, I believe that it is my responsibility to ensure that it is a calm and respectful environment. Lighting, quiet, and privacy all work together to create a safe and caring space.

Giving birth is deeply personal and it is important to be surrounded by people you trust. The choice of who you welcome into this experience is an important one. I view it as a privilege to be invited into to this phenomenal event and to support the dance that occurs within the family as a child is born.
